I have finally found a place. I woke up from a deep sleep and found myself full of courage and threw myself into life with my arms extended, like a swan dive off a cliff. Patience and hard work rewarded me with the frothy ocean waves and a horizon covered with bold sunshine. As my head emerged from the depths and the waves calmed I knew this was the horizon I was meant to reach and I was filled with hope and determination. There in the ocean mist my wife and children arrived and I embraced them with all my might as we left the ocean and moved to the pine trees. They are my place and wherever we may be I am home even if it means in the heart of brutal desert.
